BBI: Russian billionaires gain $2.7 bln in January–November
MOSCOW, Dec 3 (PRIME) -- The combined fortune of Russia’s 24 billionaires increased by U.S. $2.657 billion in January–November, Bloomberg said in a report accompanying its Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) released on Monday.
The index is calculated basing on capitalization and financial reports of companies owned by the businessmen, or on a ratio between capitalization and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) or a ratio between a share price and earnings per share.
CEO of independent gas producer Novatek Leonid Mikhelson was still a top billionaire with a $20.3 billion wealth, which has grown by $3.59 billion since the beginning of the year.
Vladimir Potanin, one of core owners of metals giant Norilsk Nickel, climbed two steps to the second position with $20 billion, an increase of $1.11 billion.
Vladimir Lisin, the major beneficiary of steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), remained at the third place, and his wealth rose by $584 million to $18.6 billion.
